Healthy City

Waterford City Development Board has priortised a number of Actions to benefit Waterford city over the years 2009-2012. 
One of these actions is to – ‘Make Waterford City a Healthy City based on the World Health Organisation model’ and the lead agency appointed to co-ordinate this action is Waterford Area Partnership Ltd.
The World Health Organisation have a process which they recommend in order to achieve the status of ‘A Healthy City’. The Themes for 2009-2012 are Health in all local Polices, Equity, Life Styles, Healthy Urban Planning and Creative Happiness and Well-being.
