Our Board Structure.
Waterford Area Partnership delivers the Local and Community Development Programme under four goals:
Goal 1 Promote awareness, knowledge and uptake of a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community services

Goal 2 Increase access to formal and informal education, recreational and cultural activities and resources
Goal 3 Increase in people's work readiness and employment prospects
Goal 4 Promote engagement with policy, practice, and decisipion making processes on matters affecting local ccommunities.

Joe Stokes was appointed Manager when the company was founded in 1996. He represents the Partnership on a number of organisations and is a Director of the Waterford Sports Partnership Ltd., LEDC, Brothers of Charity and a member of the Waterford City Development Board. Joe looks after implementing the Partnerships Strategic Plan. He has overall responsibility for managing the Partnership and reports to the Board of Directors.

Catherine O'Neill - Reception and PA to C.E.O.
Catherine O'Neill joined Waterford Area Partnership Ltd in 1997 and is Personal Secretary to the C.E.O.. Catherine also covers Reception and deals with information enquires from the General Public. In addition, Catherine is the Health & Safety Representative for the Partnership.

Louise McCarthy - Financial Accountant
Louise has responsibility for the management of the overall financial affairs of WAP Ltd. She manages and oversees the budgetary and reporting aspects in relation to the accounts of WAP Ltd. Louise also works with other groups and projects and projects in implementing and development effective financial management systems. Louise also carry’s out the role of Company Secretary for the board of WAP Ltd.

Deirdre Daly is in charge of all aspects of a specific group of accounts for Waterford Area Partnership Ltd. Some of these ongoing accouts include the Moving On Project Ferrybank account, the Cohesion accounts, Feans account and Child Wellbeing. Deirdre liaises with the Programme Co-ordinators in charge of these accounts and reports back to the funders of these projects. In addition, Deirdre assists with some of the admin duties of the LDSIP account and helps to process contracts for the groups applying for funding.

Margaret McCarthy - Financial Administrator
Margaret McCarthy has been with WAP Ltd since 2002. She is responsible for a number of specific accounts which include Job Sampling, U Casadh, Horticulture & many more. Margaret is also involved in assisting groups to manage their accounts. In Addition she is the Financial Administrator for the School Completion Programme which is responsible for identifying and tracking potential early school leavers.

Jack Walsh - Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and P.R.O.
Jack Walsh is responsiple for Monitoring, Evaluation and Research at the Partnership. Jack joined the Partnership in 2001 and works closely with groups in the evaluation of projects. Jack also covers the Public Relations Relations role for the Partnership and assists groups to promote their projects with the local media. He is also involved in the promotion of Equality as part of the Waterford Public Service Equality Network.
