Margaret has responsibility for Child Well-being and Disability Issues and works with a wide range of Individuals, Groups and Organisations active in the city. She is a member of the Board of Waterford City Childcare Committee and works closely with the staff on the development of Community Childcare Services. She gives administrative support to the Parents Network of the Childcare Forum.

Child Well-being

Child Wellbeing is defined as the ‘Healthy and successful Individual functioning, positive social relationships and a social ecology that provides safety, human and civil rights, social justice and participation in civil society.

Examples of support and projects that have received support are:

Individuals – Training in Childcare, Career Prospects, Interviews.

Projects – Corporate Governance (setting up as Limited Companies, H.R. Employment) Interview Panels, Information on Grants, Assistance on Applying for Grants, Family Fun Days, High Scope Quality Programme, Head Start and Integrated Summer Camp Project.

Margaret represents Waterford Area Partnership on the a wide range of Boards and Committees including Waterford City Childcare Committee, a number of Community Childcare Projects and Folláin - Community Health Project.

Margaret gives advice and developmental support where and when required to Individuals and Groups in the city.
