The Irish Heart Foundation is the only national voluntary organisation in Ireland working to reduce premature death and disability from heart disease and stroke through medical research, school, workplace and community-based lifestyle programmes.
In the community, Happy Heart Groups work to create an awareness of risk factors for heart disease and encourage healthier lifestyles. Activities include dissemination of information, public talks and information stands, the promotion of healthier choices in restaurants and pubs through the Happy Heart Eat Out campaign and support Irish Heart Week. We also have one monthly meeting for committee members.
