The JSI targets unemployed young people between the ages of 18 and 23 years who have left school early and aims, via the provision of pre-employment training and innovative job-sampling opportunities, to support participants to progress onto employment, education or further training.
The project is supported by a number of agencies including FAS, DSFA, Probation Service and the HSE. The premise of Job Sampling is to offer young unemployed people an opportunity to sample work in Waterford through the support of local employers. Coupled with training and personal development supports, the Job Sampling experience helps young people make clear and realistic employment choices and supports them to further their employment aims via education and training opportunities or by entering the jobs market.
If you are interested in joining the programme or you are an employer who can offer job sampling opportunities please contact.
