Le Chéile Mentoring Project
Le Chéile provides a mentoring service to people aged 12 -18 yrs who were involved with the Prisom Service.
Aims of the Project:
1. To help young people set goals and consider options available to them
2. To help build self-esteem, self-confidence and motivstion of the young people
3. To give the young people a positive role model
4. To help young people try new activities
A Le Chéile Mentor is a volunteer aged 20 years and over who acts as a role model, advisor and frien to a young person. A Mentor is asked to give 3 hours per week for one year. They are also asked to attend case supervision and ongoing training.
