‘Make It Your Business’
Waterford Area Partnership has been awarded funding under the above initiative to provide training and support to people wishing to start their own business.
The ‘Make It Your Business’ programme will give participants the opportunity to investigate their business ideas, compile a business plan and acquire the skills needed to start and operate a new business.
This programme is open to clients of the Department of Social Protection, but places are limited, so if interested please indicate so as soon as possible.

• Health & Safety
• Sources of Assistance for new businesses

• Consumer Legislation
• Individual Mentoring – Private meetings to discuss business issues.
• Managing the Business
• Management Skills Development
• Planning & Review
• Management Systems
• Business Strategy
• Peer Management Teams
• Business Creativity & Innovation
This is a unique opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills to start and operate a business. Participants will attend business training (about six hours per week), have access to a range of support and carry out work on their project.
Programme Commencing October 2010 – there is no charge.
