WIT - Seminar on Patents 14/09/2011 Exploite your good ideas

 

The Patents Office will launch a new series of seminars at Waterford Institute of Technology on Thursday, September 22nd.


 “Building a Business on Your Ideas” is aimed at helping small businesses, entrepreneurs and inventors to identify and exploit the value of Intellectual Property (Patents, Trade Marks, Designs and Copyright). This seminar offers a great learning opportunity for anyone who wants to convert an idea into a business opportunity, or wants to use IP to scale up an existing enterprise.


Expert speakers include a patent attorney, representatives from industry, technology transfer specialists, entrepreneurs and an expert on branding. Information will also be available on the state supports that are available, from R&D through incubation and commercialisation.


Speakers from the public sector will include representatives from the Patents Office, Enterprise Ireland, County Enterprise Boards, the Enterprise Europe Network and Waterford Institute of Technology.
