Waterford Area Partnership works with all agencies  and groups in the City to promote awareness, knowledge and uptake of a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community services.

Community & Voluntary groups may apply to Waterford Area Partnership for a grant to assist with the following actions: (Download Grant Application Form).

Health Information Days - Grants available:

Community Projects and Groups are invited to apply to Waterford Area Partnership for grant assistance to help with the cost of hosting Health Information Days in their community.

General Information Events

Waterford Area Partnership initiates and supports information events such as Information Fairs, Seminars and Workshops which are specifically aimed at raising awareness of services available in Waterford.

Awareness raising to remove barriers to people experiencing inequality, disability and literacy difficulties.

The Partnership will assist with the training of front-line staff in Community and Voluntary groups to recognise barriers to participation for people experiencing inequality, disability or with literacy difficulties. The purpose of the training is to assist them understand how their ways of working, interacting with the public, communicationing, physical layout of premises ect.  prevents people in the above groups from participating fully in community activities.

Promotion and dissemination of information:

The Partnership will assist with funding to produce Newsletters, Flyers and Information Leaflets. For newsletter we require that 20% of content is related to providing information on services available to the community.

New Websites

Waterford Area Partnership will assist Community Groups with funding to provide their own website. There are conditions relating to the group being able to keep the site up to date and the site being disability friendly.

Public Relations and the Media

The Partnership recognises the importance for groups to be able to promote their services to their community, stakeholders and the general public. The Partnership organises media training for staff and volunteers in the Community & Voluntary sector.

Networks

Waterford Area Partnership works with statutauory agencies, community & voluntary groups to actively promote awareness, knowledge and uptake of the services they provide in Waterford CIty. Groups who actively promote social inclusion are welcome to contact us to see how we can effectly work together.
