FREE ATTIC INSULATION & FREE CAVITY WALL INSULATION SCHEME FOR PEOPLE ON FUEL ALLOWANCE
Are you in receipt of the Fuel Allowance?
If you are you may be eligible for the Waterford Warmer Homes Scheme.
This allowance runs from September for 32 Weeks and consists of a payment of €23.95 p.w. in Smokeless Fuel areas or €20 p.w in other areas.

This scheme is funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and aims to improve the energy efficiency and comfort conditions of homes occupied by low-income households. This approach is founded on a social employment delivery model supported by FÁS. This model engages regional community based organisations to acquire and apply the skills to carry out the work – which includes attic insulation, draught proofing on wooden doors & windows, lagging jackets, energy efficient lighting, cavity wall insulation and energy advice.

Eligible homes are identified locally via networks drawn from the statutory and voluntary sector. The focus is on privately owned homes - local authority houses are dealt with under different schemes.
